2016 NFL offseason: Tennessee Titans needs

Lance Dunbar, Running Back
The Dallas Cowboys looked to have discovered a star in running back Lance Dunbar this past season. After playing a small role for three straight years, the undrafted kid from North Texas started 2015 with a bang.
In the team’s first four games he had 21 receptions for 215 yards and five rushes for 67 yards (an impressive 13.4 yards a carry in his minimal attempts). Then sadly a torn ACL prematurely ended the 25-year old backs season which looked so promising. With his contract in Dallas up, they may decide to move on considering this is the second time the 5-foot-9, 180-pound running back has seen injury cut his season short.
For Tennessee though, that could be a good thing as a player with Dunbar’s speed doesn’t come around often. What really makes him interesting is the change of pace he could offer from the much bigger David Cobb. After Cobb wears a defense down, the shifty Dunbar could find some big lanes and a tired defense to run on.
Dunbar is also a very good route runner that could line up wide at times and cause serious mismatch issues for opposing defenses. There would be an injury risk, but a third-down back that could be a game changer is worth that risk.
