2. player. 41. . Point Guard. Golden State Warriors. Stephen Curry

How is Stephen Curry not No. 1??? He’s the best player in the NBA!!! Why would the Golden State Warriors ever trade Curry? They won’t, but it isn’t an absolute certainty that the Warriors wouldn’t entertain offers from the Oklahoma City Thunder for either Kevin Durant or Russell Westbrook straight up. Golden State could still win a title if a hypothetical trade with the Thunder were to occur.

In reality, Curry is a lifer in the Bay Area for the Warriors. His offensive game is generationally transformative. Little kids don’t want to imitate Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan any more doing pump fakes, trying to dunk on an eight-foot goal, or do mid-range fadeaway jumpers. The youth of America goes immediately behind the three-point line and starts to dribble because these kids identify with Curry more than any NBA athlete before him.

Curry’s ascendance to greatness in the last three years has been nothing less than phenomenal, as ankle injuries hampered the former star point guard at Davidson University his first few years with the Warriors. Who honestly would have thought that Dell Curry’s son would become the NBA’s next iconic superstar?

The Warriors are at a franchise high in part of Curry’s rise to superstardom. It would take at least a near-generational superstar, someone like either Durant or Westbrook for Warriors organization to hear anything about trading Curry in 2016.
