Draft Targets

While there’s a need at outside linebacker, the better move for the Giants with the No. 10-overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft is probably to look to add more talent to their defensive line. With the likes of A’Shawn Robinson, Emmanuel Ogbah, and Sheldon Rankins potentially sitting there when their selection comes up, the Giants would have their pick at both end and tackle to add depth and talent to their defensive line where they so badly need it.

New York could possibly look to again address their secondary needs in the second round, but the better option in my view would be looking to go linebacker there and having an eye on the likes of either Leonard Floyd or Scooby Wright. Both might be a bit of a reach, but would address a major hole that has been in the Giants defense for quite some time in terms of a young playmaker at the position.

Getting into the mid and later rounds, it’d be surprising if they didn’t look to add more depth to the receiving core in a draft that’s ripe with talent at the position. Moreover, looking to add depth on the offensive line wouldn’t be the worst idea either. In the end, though, the Giants are in a position to address virtually every area of need in the draft with what they end up actually doing depending on how they approach free agency.
