High Salary Centers

Connor McDavid – Edmonton Oilers ($7,000): McDavid has been on fire recently with four goals and 10 assists for 14 points with 23 shots on goal and 63 face-off wins in his last ten games. On the season, the first overall pick of the 2015 NHL Draft has 24 points in 20 games. Starting a center against Anaheim is usually not advisable, but McDavid is an exception to that rule. He averages 4.1 fantasy hockey points per game.

Evgeny Kuznetsov – Washington Capitals ($6,300): Kuznetsov is the surprise leader of the Eastern Conference leading Washington Capitals in points with 16 goals and 41 assists for 57 points in 55 games. Over his last ten games, Evgeny has a goal and 12 assists for 13 points. He goes tonight against the Los Angeles Kings. The Capitals center averages 3.7 fantasy points per game.

Tyler Seguin – Dallas Stars ($8,600): After a pedestrian January, Seguin is back to being one of the most dominant offensive players in the league. Seguin has six goals and seven assists for 13 points over his last ten games and currently owns a five game point streak. He has 31 goals and 35 assists for 66 points this season and averages 4.9 fantasy hockey points per game.

High Value Centers

Boone Jenner – Columbus Blue Jackets ($5,000): Jenner is an underrated fantasy option. He gives you points and he gives you hits. Boone has 19 goals and 13 assists for 32 points this season in 57 games. He also has 155 hits and 156 shots on goal. Over his last ten games, Jenner has done plenty of hitting and shooting with 40 hits and 36 shots on goal. Jenner goes tonight against the Bruins averaging 3.2 fantasy points per game.

Jordan Staal – Carolina Hurricanes ($4,000): Jordan has 33 points (12 goals and 21 assists) in 56 games this season. He has been playing quite well over his last ten games with two goals and nine assists for 11 points. Going against the Jets, he’s a solid fantasy option tonight. The Hurricanes center averages 2.5 fantasy hockey points per game.

Ryan Kesler – Anaheim Ducks ($5,000): Kesler is a slight risk tonight as he just played on Monday. However, he’s been playing so well lately that he’s worth the risk. Over his last ten games, Kesler has gotten his scoring going with three goals and six assists for nine points with 40 shots on goal. That’s on top of his usual compiling of hits (22), blocked shots (15), and face-off wins (138). He goes tonight against the Oilers averaging three fantasy points per game (including 4.9 per game over his last ten games).
