DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy hockey lineup February 16th
High Salary Wings
Brad Marchand – Boston Bruins ($6,800): How hot is Brad Marchand right now? It’s hard to believe that the ice doesn’t melt when he’s skating on it. With 10 goals in his last 10 games and 13 goals in his last 14 games, Marchand is on a career best scoring streak. He has 38 shots on goal over his last ten games. Going against an awful defensive team in the Columbus Blue Jackets, Marchand could be primed for a huge night. The Bruins wing averages 4.2 fantasy hockey points per game.
Corey Perry – Anaheim Ducks ($6,200): One of the league’s most hated players, Perry has been giving opposing fans even more reason to hate him lately with his impressive play. Over his last ten games, Perry has three goals and seven assists for 10 points with 27 shots on goal and three multi-point outings. Going against Edmonton tonight, he’s a fabulous option even though he just played on Monday. The Ducks wing averages 3.5 fantasy hockey points per game.
Jakub Voracek – Philadelphia Flyers ($6,300): Voracek has been on fire as of late with 11 points (two goals and nine assists) with 31 shots on goal in his last ten games. He goes tonight against the Devils, who Voracek has tortured throughout his career. Jakub has 44 points this season in 55 games. The Flyers wing averages 3.5 fantasy hockey points per game (including 4.3 points per game over his last ten games).
High Value Wings
Andre Burakovsky – Washington Capitals ($4,600): Burakovsky has been smoking hot as of late. Over his last ten games, the first round pick in the 2013 NHL draft has seven of his 11 goals on the season with four of his 11 assists for 11 of his 25 points. A lot of that has to do with his incredible chemistry with center Evgeny Kuznetsov and right wing Justin Williams. He goes against the Kings tonight averaging two fantasy hockey points per game (including 4.3 per game over his last ten games).
Cam Atkinson – Columbus Blue Jackets ($4,800): Cam Atkinson has been playing extremely well ever since he helped that family get a puppy by scoring. That’s proof that karma exists. Over his last ten games, Atkinson has six goals and five assists for 11 points with 40 shots on goal. He has been a subject of recent trade rumors but Columbus absolutely MUST keep him. Cam is one of the most underrated forwards in hockey. He averages 3.3 fantasy hockey points per game (including 5.3 per game over his last ten games).
