4. Memphis Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies’ February might just be the most interesting one in the NBA. They’ve lost their center Marc Gasol because of a foot injury, made a variety of trades with the eye on the future, brought in a bunch of interesting personalities and are still in the playoff race.

While the Grizzlies could certainly drop out with the amount of pieces that they have lost, either via injury or trade, they are still firmly in it and should look to add cheap depth to try and make one more run to the postseason this year.

After the Grizzlies lost Gasol, they acquired Chris Andersen, but they could certainly use more depth than just Andersen. Adding David Lee could be a wise move for the Grizzlies and he could also provide plenty of minutes while they try to deal with Gasol’s absence.

The Grizzlies certainly have their eye on the future, as their team begins to age and get older as they go forward. Still, now that they’ve shed some pieces off the roster, there’s no reason that they shouldn’t at least try to finish strong and make the playoffs.

Lee knows the Western Conference well and could slide right in with the Grizzlies.
