3. Miami Heat

For the second season in a row, the Miami Heat are dealing with major issues to their front court depth because of health scares with Chris Bosh. While Bosh hasn’t ruled out playing again this season, his health is far more important than the game and his medical issues are very concerning to everyone.

The Heat also traded away Chris Andersen at the deadline and their front court depth has taken a bit of a hit. The Heat are firmly positioned in the middle of the playoff race in the Eastern Conference and if they’re not going to run their current depth into the ground during the stretch run, going after a guy like David Lee might be the move that they need to make.

Lee could rotate in an out and provide the Heat with multiple looks in certain sets on offense. He might not be the same player that he once was in this league, but he’s serviceable and there aren’t going to be many better options available at this point in the season.

This type of move is all about saving the legs of the players on the roster before the playoffs begin, when they will assuredly have a tough road ahead of them, depending on whether or not Bosh is able to get back on the court.
