1. Dallas Mavericks

If there’s any team that will be in the market for a buyout player, it’s the Dallas Mavericks. After many expected the Mavericks to take a plunge in the standings this season, the Mavericks have been one of the more competitive teams in the Western Conference and look primed to make the playoffs again.

The Mavericks might be having a great season, but they’re limited on assets and thus, they really couldn’t be major players at the NBA Trade Deadline. Instead, that leaves them perfect suitors to nab players that are bought out and it looks like Lee could be theirs.

According to Yahoo’s Shams Charania, the Dallas Mavericks are currently the favorites to land Lee once he passes through the waiver process. Adding Lee would provide Dallas with more depth up front, as they finish out the grueling stretch of the NBA season.

Lee would be able to come into the game when Dirk Nowitzki leaves the floor and provide good production behind him. With Nowitzki having plenty of miles on his legs, he needs someone to be able to spell him minutes and Lee is exactly that guy.

If the deal indeed happens, then it’s a great move for both Lee and the Mavericks.
