Toronto Raptors vs. Chicago Bulls

Neither the Toronto Raptors nor the Chicago Bulls made any moves of consequence prior to the 2016 NBA Trade Deadline with the Bulls assessing their options and electing to stand pat and the Raptors falling shot on the one deal that they were reportedly interested in. Now the two Eastern Conference foes will face off on Friday night in the United Center.

The Raptors will still have their All-Star backcourt of point guard Kyle Lowry and shooting guard DeMar DeRozan leading the way, which has put them in a position as the second-best team in the East to this point. However, they’ll need the likes of Jonas Valanciunas to step up down the stretch if they’re going to make the leap completely. As for the Bulls, they’ll still be without Jimmy Butler in this game, but Pau Gasol is still on the roster after the deadline and he and Derrick Rose can certainly cause the Raptors a bit of trouble.
