High Salary PG

Damian Lillard-Portland Trail Blazers (9,600): Lillard exploded for a career-high 51 points against the Warriors on Friday adding in seven assists and six steals to post a massive 78 fantasy points. He now has at least 31 points in three straight games and at least 50 fantasy points in four of his last five.  Lillard can be one of the best in the game, and he’s worth a look tonight since his salary is still under 10K, and he’ll be at home tonight against the Jazz. Utah is a solid defensive team, but Lillard has averaged 28 points, 65 assists, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.5 steals against them in the teams’ two meetings this season.  Look for Lillard to make a good star play tonight and deliver some good numbers in the late game. ∗∗

Kemba Walker-Charlotte Hornets (8,000): Walker had 25 points, six boards, four assists, and two steals against the Bucks as the Hornets opened their second half with a win.  His 43 fantasy points gave him at least 40 fantasy points in each of his last five games when he has averaged 24.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 2.0 steals.  He’ll look to continue his momentum as the Hornets roll into Brooklyn tonight.  The Hornets lineup will have a different look with newly-acquired Courtney Lee expected to start in the backcourt next to Walker, but I still expect Kemba to put together another good line especially in a great matchup against the Nets.  The only risk is that the Hornets could run away with the game early and Walker could play fewer minutes than normal as a result.

Derrick Rose-Chicago Bulls (7,200): Rose had two strong games to start the second half scoring 28 and 26 points against the Cavs and Raptors respectively and posting over 34 fantasy points in each contest.  He has at least 37 fantasy points in five of this six games that Jimmy Butler has missed, and with Butler again sidelined tonight, Rose is a very nice play against the Lakers who give up the most fantasy points to opposing PG in the NBA.  Rose had 33.75 fantasy points against the Lakers when Chicago visited LA at the end of January, but he should be able to exceed those numbers since he is the center of the Chicago attack while Butler is out.

Mike Conley-Memphis Grizzlies (6,700): Another good option at PG is Mike Conley who has had to pick up some offensive work with the Grizzlies trading away Jeff Green and Country Lee and losing Marc Gasol to injury. Conley has at least 33 fantasy points in each of his last three games and is coming off one of his best performances of the season when he totaled 25 points, seven assists, four rebounds, and two steals against the T-Wolves on Friday. ∗∗
