High Value SF

Matt Barnes-Memphis Grizzlies (5,000): Memphis traded away Jeff Green at the deadline and lost Marc Gasol due to injury which opened up plenty of playing time for Matt Barnes.  Tony Allen is also dealing with an injury tonight and is listed as questionable which could open up even more playing time for Barnes against the Raptors who don’t have DeMarre Carroll who is their best wing defender.  Barnes had 26.25 fantasy points on Friday against the T-Wolves with 11 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals in his 33 minutes.  Barnes should be good for at least 20 fantasy points with the potential for much more if he keeps getting tons of run at SF as expected.

Maurice Harkless-Portland Trail Blazers (4,200): Harkless is a much higher risk play than Barnes since his playing time is less secure, but he has been playing well for the Blazers and has at least 11 points in at least 23 minutes in each of his last four games resulting in at least 28 fantasy points in three of those four contests.  He’s high-risk, high-reward tonight, but he is emerging as a key part of the Blazers small-ball attack which was effective enough to earn them a win against Golden State on Friday.

Vince Carter-Memphis Grizzlies (3,000): Carter played 26 minutes on Friday against the T-Wolves and scored 15 points to go with four boards and two steals for a total of 25 fantasy points. He’s even more high risk than Harkless with P.J. Hairston and Lance Stephenson possibly available, but with Tony Allen possibly out there is a chance for Carter to get some minutes once again.
