High Value SF

Luol Deng-Miami Heat (5,700): Deng has combined with Goran Dragic to carry the Heat offense while Wade and Bosh are out.  He had monster games with 50.2 and 47 fantasy points in his two contests since the break, and he’ll look to keep it going against Paul George and the Heat tonight.  Indiana’s defense against opposing SF is pretty good, so I’m actually not as high on Deng as I have been in his last two games, and I think he’s in for a solid but not spectacular night tonight especially if Wade returns. With Wade-∗ No Wade-

Evan Turner-Boston Celtics (5,600): Turner had a big game last night in Denver dropping 17 points in his 27 minutes go to with nine rebounds, five assists, and a steal.  Turner finished the first half strong but laid an egg in Utah on Friday night.  Aside from that disappointing game when he had just 12.7 fantasy points, Turner has at least 25 fantasy points in each of his last eight games with five games over 30 fantasy points. He’s coming off the bench for Boston, but he’s such a big part of the C’s attack and can produce in so many categories that he’s still a very viable fantasy option for tonight against Minnesota.

Tobias Harris-Detroit Pistons (5,500): Harris is still coming off the bench for Detroit, but he seems to be settling in very well and I’d be surprised if he isn’t starting really soon for coach Stan Van Gundy.  SVG acquired Harris at the trading deadline and Harris has played 30 and 35 minutes in his two games with his new team totaling 23.8 and 30 fantasy points. He’s in a not-so-great matchup against the Cavs tonight, but he has tons of upside as his role with his new team increases.

Harrison Barnes-Golden State Warriors (4,500): While I don’t love any of the options in the 4,000’s at SF, Barnes has some decent upside since he’s playing 29+ minutes per game with the Warriors.  His production fluctuates from game-to-game, but he has been able to produce at least 23 fantasy points in three of his last five games including on Saturday when he finished with 18 points, five boards, and an assist against the Clippers.

Shabazz Muhammad-Minnesota Timberwolves (3,900): Muhammad is a risk, but he also has the most upside of any player under 4K. The T-Wolves rotation has been inconsistent, but Muhammad got 33 minutes on Saturday against New York and had 20 points on his way to 24.6 fantasy points. He has five games in his last seven with at least 17 fantasy points, but he can also put up a dud from time to time like when he had a brutal -2 against the Blazers on January 31.
