15.
Robinson is easily the most common projection for the New Orleans Saints with the 12th overall pick but, well, that does not make it the wrong pick. The Saints are in desperate need of quality players on the defensive side of the ball, as evidenced by virtually every defensive metric from 2015, and Robinson is a player that can make an immediate impact in stopping the run and deterring the pass.

He is a physical monster at 315 pounds that stood out from a production standpoint at Alabama, and that is a nice combination to bring to the table. Robinson routinely disrupted the opposition while serving as the best defensive lineman for the Crimson Tide, and the latter description is incredibly high praise given that Alabama’s defensive front was easily the best in the country.

There are other options that the Saints could utilize here, including help for the secondary and in the linebacking corps. New Orleans could even get incredibly aggressive with a move to bolster an already stout offense, but in truth, the Saints would be crazy to pass on the opportunity to improve the horrid defensive product that Sean Payton’s team put forth in 2015.

A’Shawn Robinson is a stud and it would be a surprise if he wasn’t a stud at the NFL level.
. DT. Alabama. A'Shawn Robinson. 12. player
