Jack Conklin. 18. player. 46.
Conklin profiles more as a right tackle in my view, but Indianapolis has a glaring need along the offensive line and he would be an immediate upgrade. Andrew Luck has been battered to the tune of 115 sacks (not a misprint) in his first four seasons under center for the Colts, and while Conklin’s bread and butter right now is in the running game, he would be more than adequate as a starting right tackle from the first moment he steps on the professional field.

There are several scenarios in which Conklin would be off the board here, especially given his NFL-ready frame at 6-foot-6 and 325 pounds. If that were to transpire, the Colts could go with another offensive tackle or if the front office shifts course, an impact player along the defensive line (especially on the interior) would fit quite nicely.

It is baffling to see what the Colts have done to surround Luck in recent seasons, choosing to overpay veterans and invest hastily in wide receivers through the NFL Draft. The selection of Conklin would be a departure from that, but given the recent track record, it would be a wise move that would surely be met with positive thinking from Andrew Luck and his camp.
.
