High Salary SG

C.J. McCollum-Portland Trail Blazers (7,400): Due to cost and matchup, I’m passing on James Harden tonight and targeting McCollum instead as my big-money option at SG.  C.J. had 31 points and 41 fantasy points in the Blazers win over Utah on Sunday giving him at least 21 points in six of his last eight games and at least 32 fantasy points in four of his last five.  McCollum is in a tasty matchup against the Nets tonight who allow the second-most fantasy points to opposing SG.  McCollum has been a breakout star for Portland this season, and he should be in a place to continue his momentum tonight.

Victor Oladipo-Orlando Magic (6,800): Oladipo has played over 40 minutes in four of the last five games for the Magic, and he has gone from coming off the bench to hardly ever seeing in in coach Scott Skiles shortened rotation.  Oladipo has at least 40 fantasy points in each of his two games since the break contributing very good numbers across the board against both Dallas and Indiana.  Against the always-struggling 76ers, look for another big game from Oladipo tonight especially if he continues to carry such a gigantic load of minutes.

Brad Beal-Washington Wizards (6,000): No team in the NBA has allowed more fantasy points to opposing SG than the New Orleans Pelicans who the Wizards host in DC tonight.  However, Beal is still risky since his minutes are being so closely monitored due to the Wizards brutal open to the second half of the season.  Beal has been good when he’s on the court scoring at least 16 points in each of his last nine games, but he has been held under 30 fantasy points in each of his three games since the All Star break since he had to be held under 30 minutes in each contest.  Tonight, the reigns may be a little looser after a few days off, but since they’re starting another back-to-back Beal will still be monitored closely which takes some of the luster off his A+ matchup.
