High Salary C

DeMarcus Cousins-Sacramento Kings (10,900): Cousins stomped the Nuggets on his way to 55.8 fantasy points last night on 39 points, nine boards, two blocks, and two assists.  He has over 55 fantasy points in each of his two games since the break and looks ready to go on another run of crazy productivity.  He comes back home tonight where he is usually better, but he is in a tougher matchup against the Spurs who have allowed the fourth-fewest fantasy points to opposing centers this season.  It’s not a great matchup, but Boogie is on such a roll right now that he could definitely overcome it.

Karl-Anthony Towns-Minnesota Timberwolves (9,200): Towns is quickly emerging as one of the best centers in the game and is starting to cost as much as the elite options on FanDuel.  Towns has over 45 fantasy points in three of his last four including a huge 55.7 fantasy points against the Raptors who he faces again tonight.  In the last game before the break Towns beat Toronto for 35 points, 11 boards, and three blocks, and he’ll look to post similar numbers tonight. Towns had another monster game on Monday with 28 points and 13 boards against the Celtics, and is a great way to spend big on a star tonight.

Hassan Whiteside-Miami Heat (8,200): Whiteside has been a beast in his two games back from suspension posting 55.6 fantasy points against the Wizards and 53.1 fantasy points against the Pacers.  He only played 29 minutes against Washington but totaled 25 points and 23 rebounds before 19 points, 18 rebounds, and six blocks against Indiana.  Tonight, Whiteside takes on the Warriors in what could be a tricky matchup.  When teams play against the Warriors sometimes they don’t have a chance to get their center involved because of Golden State’s small lineups.  However, Golden State has give up the second-most fantasy points to opposing centers over their last five games and the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing centers so far this season. He’s risky because of the matchup, but his current form is hard to argue with.

Marcin Gortat-Washington Wizards (7,100): Gortat has been excellent this week coming out of the All Star break with four games over 31 fantasy points. He had 40.7 fantasy points last night against the Pelicans scoring 21 points to go with 11 rebounds in just 30 minutes.  He has double-doubles in seven of his last eight games and consistently delivers solid points and boards while adding blocks and steals as well from time to time.  Gortat is in a great matchup against the Bulls tonight who have struggled to defend opposing centers all year and may be without Pau Gasol tonight.  Fatigue is my only concern with “The Polish Hammer” tonight since he is playing his fifth game in the last seven nights, but he’s been good enough lately to expect another good game in Chicago as the Wizards try to put together a push for the playoffs.

Robin Lopez-New York Knicks (6,000): Lopez has been a regular option in my high value centers, but his recent run of production has caused his price to rise to 6K.  RoLo had 21 points and 13 boards against the Raptors on Monday after 26 points and 16 boards against the T-Wolves. He has over 38 fantasy points in four of his last eight games, but he’s still a boom-or-bust play since he tends to be inconsistent.  He has huge upside, so roll the dice if you think he’ll have another good game tonight against the Pacers.
