High Value SG

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope-Detroit Pistons (5,400): KCP has looked good in his last two games after missing four games before the break and allowing Stanley Johnson his moment in the DFS spotlight. In a role reversal, Caldwell-Pope will have to help cover for Johnson now who is injured himself and will miss a couple weeks with a shoulder sprain. KCP has at least 23 fantasy points in each of his last two games and had 19 points, four boards, and two steals against the Cavs on Monday. He almost always contributes solid scoring and steals and is a low-risk play tonight against the woeful 76ers.

J.J. Redick-Los Angeles Clippers (4,900): Since I’m still recovering from my Jamal-Crawford-burns, I’m going with the other Clippers guard tonight.  Redick has scored at least 16 points in each of the Clippers’ last five games and has 25 fantasy points in three of those five contests.  He had 30.6 fantasy points against the Suns on Monday while Crawford killed me by totaling just a single fantasy point. Tonight, I’m going with Redick against the Nuggets instead of Crawford.

Zach LaVine-Minnesota Timberwolves (4,900): Another option that I like for tonight is Zach LaVine of the T-Wolves.  LaVine has scored at least 12 points in each of his last ten games for Minnesota and is becoming a much bigger par too their rotation. LaVine has at least 22 fantasy points in each of his last five games and has averaged 15.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 0.8 blocks over that five-game run.  LaVine sometimes starts and sometimes comes off the bench, but he gets enough playing time either way to offer nice production at under 5K tonight.

Danny Green-San Antonio Spurs (4,500): Green is in a good matchup tonight as he faces the Kings who allow the most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG.  He had a couple of down games coming out of the break due to game situation and foul trouble, but he had a nice, balanced line against the Suns on Sunday with 11 points, seven rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and two steals for 29.4 fantasy points. He has at least 21 fantasy points in five of his last eight games and is playing plenty of time with Manu Ginobili still sidelined and Kawhi Leonard dealing with injury as well.  Green will need to step up for San Antonio tonight, and I think he’s a high-risk, high-reward play that will end up coming through against Sacramento.∗∗

E’Twaun Moore-Chicago Bulls (4,500): Moore is very under-priced on FanDuel given his recent role with the Bulls as he has been instrumental filling in for for Jimmy Butler and Nikola Mirotic.  Moore had 24 points in 41 minutes against the Lakers on Sunday for a very solid 33.3 fantasy points.  He also had a good game before that against the Raptors with a more balanced nine points, seven rebounds, and six assists for 28.4 fantasy points. He has at least 22 fantasy points in five of his last six games and has the potential to fill it up as he did against the Lakers.  Since the Wizards struggle against opposing wings, I think Moore is lined up for another successful outing tonight.

Langston Galloway-New York Knicks (4,100): Galloway has been rumored to be headed for a bigger role in New York since starting PG Jose Calderon has continued to struggle. If interim coach Kurt Rambis decides to go with Galloway at starting PG, he could be in for a huge value bump. However, Galloway did play 25 minutes against the Raptors and contributed just one rebound and one assist. He’s an extremely risky play unless he’s named the starter this morning, and even then it’s a big gamble not knowing how ready Galloway is to produce although I love the upside of getting him regular playing time with the starting unit.
