Oklahoma City Thunder vs Dallas Mavericks

If you’re the Oklahoma City Thunder, you have to feel pretty good about where you stand in the Western Conference with two of the world’s best teams in first and second place. Oklahoma City is sitting in a comfortable third place with a 40-16 record despite a current two-game losing streak.

Kevin Durant will be the most highly sought-after free agent this summer, but the Thunder better hope to keep him around as his production is tough to match. He’s putting up 27.7 points per game to go along with 7.9 rebounds and 4.5 assists. Russell Westbrook is also having an MVP-type year, averaging 24.0 points, 10.2 assists and 7.5 rebounds.

The Dallas Mavericks are one of those middle-tiered teams in the West looking to make a jump into a top-five seed before the playoffs come around. However, the Mavs have lost five of seven games and are trending in the wrong direction right now. A win over Oklahoma City would be a huge morale-booster.

Dirk Nowitzki is still the top dog of this team despite his age. He’s playing like an ageless wonder, putting up 17.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game while shooting about 39 percent from three-point range. Deron Williams has proven to be a quality addition, putting up 14.4 points and 5.5 assists per contest.
