High Salary C

Brook Lopez-Brooklyn Nets (7,700): Lopez is set up for a good game in Phoenix as he takes on the Suns who will get Tyson Chandler back from shoulder injury but are still a little thin up front with Alex Len re-injuring his ankle in practice. Lopez continues to be the focal point of the Nets attack and has at least 45 fantasy points in all three of his games since the All Star break including 60 fantasy points against Portland in his last game on Tuesday.  He has the upside to cost way more than this, and is actually a good value at under 8K.∗∗∗

Nikola Vucevic-Orlando Magic (7,600): Vucevic and the Magic take on the Warriors tonight making it tricky to predict exactly how much he’ll be able to play depending on Golden State’s rotation. Opposing centers have been crushing Golden State recently, though, with Al Horford and Hassan Whiteside being the two most recent examples.  The Warriors have given up more fantasy points to opposing centers than any other team in the NBA, and Vucevic is also coming in with some very good form on top of that.  Vucevic has scored at least 19 points in each of his last six games and has at least 32 fantasy points in each of  those contests. He’s coming off a dominant performance against the 76ers when he had 53.75 fantasy points on 35 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and a block.  Given the way the Warriors are defending opposing bigs and the way Vucevic has been playing, we could see another monster game from the Serbian big man.

Greg Monroe-Milwaukee Bucks (7,100): Monroe is much higher risk than Lopez or Vucevic since he has been held under 30 fantasy points in three of his last four games, but he has huge upside and is in a good matchup tonight.  He had 29 points and 12 boards against Boston when he faced them before the break totaling 54.5 fantasy points. He has over 45 fantasy points in three of his last eight including that contest, but there are other nights where he is more invisible. It’s a good enough matchup to attack if you can’t afford the other two bigs, but you raise your risk level substantially when you go with Moose.
