FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-February 26
High Value SF
Matt Barnes-Memphis Grizzlies (5,000): Barnes took it to his former team the Lakers on Wednesday with 25 points and eight boards for a total of 39.6 fantasy points in 37 minutes. He was coming off a rough 0-6 shooting night in his previous game, but he dominated his matchup against LA and hit 5-9 three-pointers and 9-14 overall. He’s a streaky scorer, but with the Grizzlies recent moves he is lined up for a ton of playing time even when he is missing all his shots. Look for him to log enough minutes tonight in a good matchup as he returns to STAPLES Center which has been his home court at two of his previous stops before he arrived in Memphis. ∗∗∗∗∗
Robert Covington-Philadelphia 76ers (4,700): If you’re feeling lucky tonight, you could role the dice on Covington who takes being a streaky scorer to a whole new level. He has incredible upside and is in a great matchup against the Wizards who allow more fantasy points to opposing SF than any other team in the NBA. However, Covington only hit 2-9 shots against the Pistons on Wednesday and finished with 8.6 fantasy points. He can go off like he did against the Kings just before the break for 41.5 fantasy points, but he’s extremely streaky and unpredictable. Covington truly is a roll of the dice, but his matchup makes him at least worth noticing. ∗
Mike Dunleavy-Chicago Bulls (3,700): Dunleavy is one of the safest sub-4K plays of the day as he continues to get back into the flow of the Bulls rotation. He applied a season-high 28 minutes against the Wizards on Wednesday and had 14 points, four boards, an assist, and a block for 22.3 fantasy points. He has over 20 fantasy points in each of his last two games and will continue to get all the playing time he can handle with all the Bulls injuries. Dunleavy doesn’t have an ultra-high ceiling but he can be a very nice and relatively safe flier tonight against Atlanta. ∗∗∗∗
