John Wall showed his speed at the end of the first half against the Philadelphia 76ers, racing down the court to get the Wizards an extra two points.

John Wall is fast, we all know that, but sometimes when he shows off his speed it still amazes basketball fans everywhere. The Washington Wizards point guard showed how fast he could be in a must-score situation against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night when he got an outlet pass from Marcin Gortat off of a rebound. With just about five seconds on the clock when Wall got the pass, he cleared over 75 percent of the court’s length just in time to lay the ball in at the buzzer.

This was a clutch basket that the Wizards really needed, because it put them down just four points going into the second half against the Sixers. It was one of their just two baskets in the final four minutes of the half.

It’s really a bit embarrassing to be down to the Sixers by any amount, but that’s where the Wizards’ season is at. Despite early preseason predictions that thought the Wizards could pull it together this year and put themselves in the Eastern Conference Finals, they’re struggling against non-playoff teams even when they know their season is on the line.

If they can’t figure things out soon, their speed demon in John Wall might be out of the door on the first chance that he gets.
