Keith Marshall was the star of the running backs on Friday, especially when it came to running the 40.

At the NFL Scouting Combine on Friday, it was time for the running backs to take center stage. Of course, most of the focus is on the more high-profile guys like Ezekiel Elliott and Derrick Henry, but when it came down to it, it was former Georgia Bulldogs running back Keith Marshall who had everyone talking.

One of the main talking points –whether anyone likes it or not– of the NFL Scouting Combine each and every year are the 40-yard dash times, especially when it comes to skill position players like the running backs. Well, by the time all was said and done, Marshall had opened everyone’s eyes with his run.

Unofficially the number that was making the rounds was 4.29, but the official time actually ended up being a 4.31 which is still pretty damn impressive — especially for someone who has dealt with a lot of knee issues.

Given the injury issues while he was at Georgia, a lot of scouts may be skeptical when it comes to taking a chance on Marshall. However, with performances like this, he’s really doing himself a pretty good service when it comes draft time.

Because, again, like it or not people do put a lot of stock into these times.
