High Salary C

Karl-Anthony Towns-Minnesota Timberwolves (8,600): If you start with a big man in your lineup assembly tonight or have the cash to get a big-name option along with whatever stars you pack in at other spots, the top center tonight is Towns as he takes on his fellow-Kentucky-Alum Anthony Davis and the Pelicans. Towns had 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 37.5 fantasy points when the two teams met before the break and has been able to post at least 35 fantasy points in nine of his last ten games.  He did struggle a little bit against Toronto in his most recent outing, but he should bounce back just fine and has an unlimited ceiling in a good matchup tonight against New Orleans who allows the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing centers. ∗∗

Andre Drummond-Detroit Pistons (8,200): Another option at center if you go big is Andre Drummond who has rolled off 12 straight double-doubles.  He has at least 35 fantasy points in each of his last five including a huge game against Denver (56.25 fantasy points) and another big one against the Pelicans (51.5 fantasy points). Drummond isn’t in quite as good a matchup as Towns, but he should be motivated as he takes on Milwaukee and his former-front-court-mate Greg Monroe.

Greg Monroe-Milwaukee Bucks (7,200): Monroe averaged 17 points and 13 boards in his two previous games against Drummond and the Pistons, and he’ll look to put together another solid game tonight coming off of 20 points and eight rebounds against the Celtics on his way to 42 fantasy points in that contest.  He has over 40 fantasy points in three of his last six games, but his role coming off the bench for Milwaukee makes him slightly higher risk then when he was getting the start on nightly basis.
