High Salary PF

Derrick Favors-Utah Jazz (7,500): The Jazz have surged into playoff contention and Derrick Favors has been picking things up lately.  He has at least 19 points in five of his last six games and have at least 34 fantasy points in each of those contests.  He torched the Rockets for 19 points and 12 boards to go with three blocks to get to 47 fantasy points on Tuesday and followed that with 25 points, six boards, and three assists against the Spurs for a solid 40.5 fantasy points on Thursday.  Tonight, he’ll be in a good matchup against the Nets who have allowed the ninth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PF. Favors should be able to keep things rolling as long as the game doesn’t turn into a rout early.∗∗

Zach Randolph-Memphis Grizzlies (7,000): Randolph played just 25 minutes last night against the Lakers but was productive with 15 points, ten boards, and five assists for 36.5 fantasy points. He is in another tasty matchup tonight against the messed-up front court of the Suns. Z-Bo hasn’t exploded since the All Star break as some expected after the Grizz lost Pau Gasol, but he has been consistent with at least 27 fantasy points in each of his last seven games and over 31 fantasy points in each of his last two and five of his last nine games.

Gorgui Dieng-Minnesota Timberwolves (6,800): With Kevin Garnett and Nikola Pekovic sidelined, Ding has come up huge for the Wolves and has become a great piece next to Karl-Anthony Towns in the frontcourt.  Dieng has had one stinker since his emergence into the Wolves lineup which came against the Knicks last Saturday when he had three points and three rebounds in 25 minutes.  Aside from that game, Dieng has at least 35 fantasy points in each of his last seven games and is a double-double threat every night.  He had 21 points and eight boards on Wednesday against the Raptors after a 17-point, 12-rebound double-double against Boston on Monday.  He posted over 40 fantasy points in each of those contests, and he’ll be a good pick to do the same tonight against the Pelicans who have major issues defensively against opposing big men.  Dieng posted a solid 12 points and 12 rebounds for 33.4 fantasy points when the two teams met before the break.

LaMarcus Aldridge-San Antonio Spurs (6,700): Aldridge has been relatively quiet offensively in his last two games but has still managed to produce at least 28 fantasy points in four straight games.  He has produced at least 38 fantasy points in seven of his previous eight games before his last two games which came against the Kings (when he focused on shutting down Boogie) and the rugged front line of the Jazz. Tonight, he’ll be in a much more favorable position against the Rockets who allow the most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PF.  In his three games against Houston this season, Aldridge is averaging 22.3 point and 9.3 rebounds, so a 20-10 game is a good bet tonight since even after his slower games, Aldridge is still averaging 20 points and seven rebounds in his 11 games this month.

Jabari Parker-Milwaukee Bucks (6,500): Parker has been rolling with at least 33 fantasy points in five straight games after scoring 22 points to go with six rebounds against the Celtics on Thursday despite a slow start.  He has been playing huge minutes while John Henson is out as well with at least 36 in each of those five contests.  Parker should be in a good matchup tonight as the Bucks take on the Pistons tonight who don’t have a traditional PF option and are going with Marcus Morris and Tobias Harris at the three and four spot these days.  Parker should match up well against them and makes a nice play again tonight.
