FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-February 27
High Value SF
Tobias Harris-Detroit Pistons (5,900): Harris is fitting right in on his new team and has picked up at least 30 minutes in each of his four games with the Pistons after being acquired at the trading deadline. Harris had 22 points and eight rebounds against the 76ers on Wednesday finishing with 33.6 fantasy points. which is his high-mark with Detroit and give him three straight games over 29 fantasy points. He should keep getting plenty of minutes due to the injuries to Detroit’s other forwards, and I like him to have a big game tonight against the Bucks who have given up the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing SF and the fourth-most to opposing PF. Since Harris and Marcus Morris are splitting time at those two positions, he should be set up for success tonight. ∗∗∗∗∗
Matt Barnes-Memphis Grizzlies (5,000): Barnes has been a roller-coaster of production all season, and he exemplified that over the last few days going from just one point in Toronto (and 13.4 fantasy points) to a massive 25-point outburst at home against the Lakers for 39.6 fantasy points and then following it up last night with a scoreless night in LA against those same Lakers and finishing with just 15.9 fantasy points. One thing that hasn’t fluctuated wildly like his scoring, though, has been his playing time. He has played at least 28 minutes in six of his last seven games and if he does that again tonight against the woeful Phoenix Suns, there should be some production coming his way. As is obvious from his recent track record though, he’s a little bit unpredictable making him high risk.∗∗
Harrison Barnes-Golden State Warriors (4,400): Barnes played 34 minutes against Orlando but only managed 16.5 fantasy points on ten points and five rebounds. He has scored at least ten points in seven of his last nine games with a high mark of 19 when the Warriors hosted tonight’s opponent, the Thunder back on February 6. Barnes had 29.4 fantasy points in that contest and would be a great value if he is near that production again tonight. He’s high risk since he isn’t involved in the team’s offense on a nightly basis and could lose time depending on how the Warriors deploy their rotation against the Thunder tonight, but he has a pretty high ceiling for a player under 4.5K.∗∗∗
Vince Carter-Memphis Grizzlies (3,800): Yes, that Vince Carter is still around and has been involved in the Memphis rotation since they traded away Courtney Lee and Jeff Green at the deadline. Carter has at least 22 fantasy points in three of his last four games and at least 17 fantasy points in five straight. Last night, he had 19 points in 20 minutes against the Lakers and finished with 24.6 fantasy points. Expecting him to produce on back-to-back night’s is risky, but he has been playing 20+ minutes every game for the Grizz, so there is definitely potential in a great matchup against the Suns in Phoenix. ∗∗
