High Value SG

Zach LaVine-Minnesota Timberwolves (5,300): LaVine is much more up-and-down than Fournier, but he has the potential to produce as long as he keeps playing 30+ minutes per game as he has in seven of his last nine contests.  He played 36 minutes last night in New Orleans and finished with 25 points to go with five rebounds on his way to 34.75 fantasy points. He has at least 20 fantasy points in each of his last ten games and is actually a pretty safe pick since he gets so much run whether he’s starting at SG or coming off the bench.  Tonight against the Mavs, LaVine will look to keep things rolling along as he looks for a breakout second half to establish himself on the up-and-coming Timberwolves. ∗∗∗

Raymond Felton-Dallas Mavericks (4,800):  Felton has been a pretty consistent producer lately for the Mavs and is getting a ton of playing time since the All Star break.  Felton played 40 minutes on Friday against the Nuggets and finished with 16 points, six assists, and four rebounds to post his second straight game over 30 fantasy points. He has at least 23 fantasy points in five of his last six, so he’ll almost certainly give you something with the realistic potential of over 30 fantasy points even though he’s coming off the bench for Dallas.  The Mavs should be able to pile up points against the T-Wolves tonight and Felton will likely be very involved allowing him to contribute his  normal varied production across multiple categories.

Wesley Matthews-Dallas Mavericks (4,600): Matthews had been a shooter gone cold and was losing time to Raymond Felton, but he has found a little bit of his scoring touch lately and may be coming out of it.  He has at least 15 points in four of his last five games and has over 23 fantasy points in each of those contests. He played 41 minutes against Denver on Friday, but as long as he gets his usual playing time he’s a nice play at his reduced price due to his slump.
