DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-February 28
High Salary PF
Gorgui Dieng-Minnesota Timberwolves (6,800): Dieng was a bit of a disappointment last night against the Pelicans as chasing Ryan Anderson resulted in him being pulled away from the rim last night to get just three rebounds in his 38 minutes to go with his 12 points. His 28.75 fantasy points were still solid, but he had posted at least 35 fantasy points in seven of his previous nine. While owners were definitely hoping for more, Dieng still did play 38 minutes and is a key part of the T-Wolves lineup. He produces across the board and his defensive numbers make him low-risk since on most night’s he’s a double-double threat. ∗∗∗
Aaron Gordon-Orlando Magic (6,700): Gordon stayed hot even in a matchup with Kristaps Porzingis scoring 17 points to go with eight boards and two assists on his way to 32.5 fantasy points. He has at least 30 fantasy points in eight straight games and is having a breakout few weeks especially when you include his national emergence thanks to his show in the dunk contest at the All Star game. Gordon had 11 points and 11 boards earlier this week when the Magic played the 76ers finishing with 37.75 fantasy points, and I think he’ll exceed those numbers tonight especially since the Sixers allow more fantasy points to opposing PF than any other team in the NBA except the Rockets. ∗∗∗∗∗
Kristaps Porzingis-New York Knicks (6,600): Porzingis was able to take a bit of a break by playing just 25 minutes against Orlando but still managed 36.5 fantasy points on 18 points, six boards, two assists, two blocks, and two steals. He should be rested and ready for Miami who he had averaged 14.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks against in three meetings this season. Porzingis took the day off of practice yesterday to rest up for tonight’s matchup and I think he’ll come out with a big night. ∗∗∗∗
