5. Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans are set for the first overall pick of the 2016 draft this offseason. If you’re not well versed in the world of football that means they didn’t do too well this past year and are in the conversation for the worst team in the league. After selecting Marcus Mariota with the second overall pick of the draft last year, the Titans hope they have found their future franchise quarterback in the Hawaiian.

They must, however, address a defense that struggled late in 2015. After losing Derrick Morgan to a injured shoulder for the year, the Titans’ pass rush waned significantly in the latter half of the year. The team particularly struggled on third down, and with a pass rush that was already weakening, the secondary was then ravaged by injuries, producing one of the worst pass defenses in the league down the stretch.

They clearly have a need for Von Miller, and if he were available, they would surely be tempted to bring him in. However, even though Tennessee has a healthy $49 million in cap space, their priority must be protecting their future, and that is Marcus Mariota. A left tackle is an absolute must, and with Joey Bosa available in the draft, breaking the bank for Von Miller, something that would most likely have to be done to bring him, simply doesn’t seem all that wise.
