High Value PG

Darren Collison-Sacramento Kings (5,400): With Rajon Rondo sidelined with a thumb injury, Collison started at PG for the Kings on Saturday and finished with a nice 18 points, five assists, three rebounds, and two steals for 33.75 fantasy points. He has at least 25 fantasy points in four of his last five, so he makes a solid option even if he’s playing alongside Rondo on the wing.  Collison is in a great matchup if he starts at PG tonight since the Thunder allow the third-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG. While Steph Curry lit them up on Saturday, he’s not the only PG to have a good game against the Thunder, so if Rondo is out Collison is close to a must-play. No Rondo-∗∗∗∗∗ With Rondo-∗∗∗

Marcus Smart-Boston Celtics (4,600): Coming off the bench for Boston,  Smart has been a solid play since he gets plenty of minutes.  He has at least 20 fantasy points in six of his last seven games including on Saturday when he led the Celtics with 15 points in their win over Miami while adding six boards, three assists, and a steal for a total of 29 fantasy points. He had a solid 20.75 fantasy points in Utah when the Celtics played the Jazz coming out of the All Star break, and he’ll probably exceed that number tonight against Utah at home at the TD Garden.  He’s risky since some nights his role is more reduced and other nights he plays more, but Smart is a good option to consider at this price point tonight. ∗∗

Shelvin Mack-Utah Jazz (4,600): If you decide to go cheap at PG, the best option is the Jazz’s trade deadline acquisition Shelvin Mack who is still adapting to his new team, but has shown flashes of productivity.  He had 30.75 fantasy points in his Utah debut last Sunday, but he struggled a bit in his three games since then.  He has a low point of 9.5 fantasy points on Saturday against the Nets in a getable matchup, but he’ll look to bounce back tonight.  Mack is getting solid playing time which makes him the best cheap option tonight, although he’s a high-risk play since he’s had a bad last few games.∗
