High Salary SG

James Harden-Houston Rockets (10,700): Harden was on fire before running into his old nemesis Kawhi Leonard.  Leonard and the Spurs seem to be Harden’s kryptonite, but in every other matchup Harden has been crushing it since the All Star break.  He had posted 53+ fantasy points in five straight before Saturday’s disappointing 31.8. He should be set up to bounce back tonight as he takes on the Bucks who posted 30 points, eight assists, five rebounds, and two steals against in their meeting earlier this season. I like “The Beard” to resume his pre-Spurs production level tonight as he takes on Milwaukee.

Khris Middleton-Milwaukee Bucks (7,700): If you don’t go with Harden tonight, you won’t have to look far for my second option since Khris Middleton should be able to take advantage of Harden’s general lack of interest in playing defense.  Middleton has scored at least 18 points in eight of the Bucks last nine games and has over 35 fantasy points in four of his last six. He finished with 40.4 fantasy points in his 40 minutes against the Pistons on Saturday in his last game, and he usually plays an incredibly heavy load of minutes for coach Jason Kidd. Middleton has played 38 minutes or more in all but one of his last nine games, and he should be able to post good numbers if he plays that much tonight since Houston is allowing the seventh-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG.

Will Barton-Denver Nuggets (6,000): Barton and the Nuggets will have to play the next few weeks without Danilo Gallinari who had been mostly healthy this year until an ankle injury on Friday.  In that game, Barton picked up some of the offensive slack finishing with 22 points and nine rebounds in his 43 minutes (due to overtime).  Barton was brilliant in December when Gallinari missed a few games, and whether he starts or comes off the bench he will be the top option in the Nuggets offense for long stretches of the next several games.  Tonight his matchup against Memphis isn’t ideal, but he should be on the floor enough and get enough usage to still be a good play in his increased role.
