Comedian Katt Williams has been arrested in Georgia on apparent battery charges.

Comedian Katt Williams appears to be in some hot water with the law down in the state of Georgia. The entertainer, according to Fox 5 in Atlanta, has been arrested in Gainesville on battery charges on Monday and was being held on a bond of $5,000.

Now for those wondering what exactly took place that led to battery charges, of course the folks at TMZ have that explanation.

Williams was reportedly inside a pool supply store where an altercation ensued with one of the store employees. According to the report, Williams not only threw something at the store clerk, but punched him as well. So yeah, that will most certainly result in some battery charges for flipping your lid like that.

As for what might be the funniest part of the story, when police arrived Williams was already on the ground and ready to be taken away; he knew that he was in some serious trouble. However, this isn’t his first brush with the law so that’s really no surprise here.

With Williams now out of the tank, he will indeed have a court appearance coming up soon where we will find out how things will move from here. But for now, this is your latest edition of Katt Williams not making the smartest life decision.
