One place that would make a ton of sense for Kyrie Irving to go play for if he’s not too thrilled about sticking it out with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the long run is to stay in the NBA’s Central Division and lead the Milwaukee Bucks into playoff relevancy.

While the Bucks already have several great young players, Michael Carter-Williams isn’t exactly playing point guard as well as his head coach and former point guard great Jason Kidd would like. The Bucks’ strengths are in its frontcourt depth, as Giannis Antetokounmpo is about to become a star in the NBA, Jabari Parker has shown flashes of greatness in year two, and Greg Monroe is a strong, throwback big man in the low post.

Milwaukee may have to part with one of those guys and probably Carter-Williams to land Irving, but if he’s focused on being an elite ball handler, distributor, and go-to scorer in crunch time for the Bucks, Milwaukee could challenge the Cavaliers for Central Division titles in the next few seasons.

Irving to the Bucks would probably allow this offensively frustrated team to become a more complete team. Once all the pieces fit in Milwaukee, this team could be an Eastern Conference behemoth on both ends of the floor. Perhaps the smoothest ball handler in the Association in Irving with give the Bucks fluidity on offense they haven’t had in close to a decade.
