FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-March 1
High Salary SG
Dwyane Wade-Miami Heat (7,600): Wade has been relatively healthy this season and has put together a nice season. He’s having to carry the Heat offense more with no Chris Bosh and he has stepped up lately with at least 45 fantasy points in two of his last three games. He had 26 points, seven boards, six assists, and two steals in New York on Sunday, and he returns home tonight to take on the Bulls who don’t have Jimmy Butler and may also be without Derrick Rose. While the Bulls numbers for the season against opposing SG are very good, without Butler they’re a much more average defensive team on the perimeter which should allow Wade to produce tonight in Miami. ∗∗∗∗
Klay Thompson-Golden State Warriors (7,200): Thompson’s value tonight depends on the status of Steph Curry, but whether Curry gives it a go or takes a rest I think Klay has been playing well to be worth a look at this salary. He has scored at least 23 points in six of his last seven games including dropping 27 points against the Hawks when the two teams met last week. He had 38.9 fantasy points in that game and has at least that many in four of his last five. All five of those games have been while Curry is going off, but if Steph is out or limited tonight Thompson could be the primary option against a Hawks team that he can definitely put together a monster game against. With Curry-∗∗∗ No Curry or unknown at 7:00 roster lock-∗∗∗∗∗
Victor Oladipo-Orlando Magic (7,000): Oladipo is apparently over his thigh injury since he racked up 44 minutes against the Sixers on Sunday and finished with 41.7 fantasy points on 28 points, three rebounds, four steals, and not a single turnover. He has at least 35 fantasy points in each of his last four games at full strength and has seen over 40 minutes in each of those contests. Tonight, he and the Magic take on Dallas, and in their last meeting Oladipo had 17 points, 13 boards, three assists, and two steals, so look for another big game from the former-Hoosier tonight in big D. ∗∗∗∗
Jordan Clarkson-Los Angeles Lakers (6,000): Clarkson didn’t follow up on his big game in Memphis and only managed eight points in 29 minutes against the Grizz on Friday. It was his first game with single-digit scoring in 28 games, and I think he’ll bounce back tonight in a great matchup against the Nets who have allowed more fantasy points to opposing SG than any team in the NBA except the Lakers. Clarkson has gelled pretty well with D’Angelo Russell so look for the young backcourt duo to find success in a winnable game for LA tonight.∗∗∗
