No. 3 Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams have a pickle on their hands. Last offseason, they traded away quarterback Sam Bradford and acquired one who was even worse. This year, the Rams are not high enough in the draft to be assured that they will be able to select the team’s next signal caller.

The Rams have loads of talent on both sides of the ball. After several years of being a mediocre team, this should be the year that the Rams have at least a positive record.

However, the team is being weighed down by a complicated quarterback situation. Nick Foles, the quarterback that was received via the Bradford trade played very poorly and did not come close to earning his contract. He was replaced in the later part of the season by Case Keenum, due to poor play. However, Foles is guaranteed too much money to be easily cut or traded, and as a result he is almost ensured a spot on the team.

The Rams need a solid quarterback next year if they wish to contend in their division. However, adding a fourth potential starting quarterback to an already full quarterbacks’ room might be a hard pill for general manager Les Snead to swallow.

Needless to say, signing Kirk Cousins played circles around any quarterback on this team last season. Cousins could be the jolt this team needs to become serious contenders.

Luckily for the Rams they do offer serious benefits that Cousins could be presumed to appreciate. The team has kept their head coach, Jeff Fisher for several seasons even though he has not always had a great record. This could be an indicator to Cousins or any free agent that the Rams are a team dedicated to winning. If you look at the teams that have and maintain success, there is often a sense of continuity. Keeping coaches in place is a major way to ensure continuity.

Additionally, the Rams are moving to L.A. if Cousins was ever interested in growing his brand or being a household name, he would find it much easier to do in the huge market that is L.A.

In the end, the biggest road block that the Rams have to signing Cousins is figuring out how to get rid of Nick Foles.
