The Sam Bradford experiment hasn’t exactly gone according to plan.

To be fair to Bradford, he was simply one of the problems that transpired under Chip Kelly during a disastrous 2015 campaign, but the embattled signal-caller doesn’t look to be in the long-term plans for Philadelphia. Fortunately for the Eagles, things fall perfectly into place in this particular mock, and the organization comes away with a player that is seen by many as the best quarterback in the entire 2016 NFL Draft class.

Goff’s talent and production at the college level are not in doubt, and he is very much in play for the Browns with the second overall pick. However, Goff’s arm isn’t seen by everyone as “elite”, and that along with some concerns about his NFL readiness could allow him to slip here.

In this scenario, the Eagles would presumably be thrilled to tab “their guy” at the quarterback spot, but if the chips don’t fall perfectly, look for Philly to invest in the offensive line. In that vein, Michigan State offensive tackle Jack Conklin is a popular projection that makes some real sense given his run-blocking ability.

The entire city of Philadelphia rejoices at the thought of Jared Goff, but every caveat should be stated that it would be a shock if he actually fell this far without someone trading up to snag him.
.
