DE. Ohio State. Joey Bosa. 4. player. 123.
Any team taking the best player available makes sense, and Dallas snatching Bosa was already a popular choice in mock drafts around the internet. After word broke that the Cowboys are likely set to move on from Greg Hardy, though, this becomes a no-brainer.

It should be noted that it is very possible that a player with Bosa’s considerable talent would be off the board here, but in this scenario, Dallas gets arguably the best player in the entire 2016 NFL Draft class at a position of need. The Cowboys certainly need help at linebacker for the future, but no player has the upside needed to justify this pick, and without Hardy, Dallas really needs a pass-rusher that can be effective from the first moment he steps on the field.

Bosa, at 6-foot-5 and 275 pounds, isn’t the most explosive pure pass rusher in this class, but he can certainly get to the quarterback while operating as a very well-rounded player. It might not be the “splash” choice that Jerry Jones craves, especially with rumblings that a quarterback of the future could be in play here, but passing on Joey Bosa would be borderline criminal for a team that wants to compete in 2016.
