player. 26.
Baltimore has been widely linked to Notre Dame offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley, and that would be a pick that makes a great deal of sense given Joe Flacco’s lack of mobility and failures of this offensive line in 2015. Still, it would be very tough for the Ravens to pass on a player like Buckner and he happens to be available in this scenario.

For me, Buckner is a top-five overall talent in this class and he also presents a very high floor given his size (6-foot-7 and 290 pounds) and ability to stand up against the run. Baltimore has a few needs defensively (including cornerback) but no one would be silly enough to discount the team’s pass rush as one of those bigger desires, and Buckner is a stud in the making.

The argument against adding Buckner would be scheme fit concerns and some worries about his high-end explosion off the ball as a pure pass-rusher. Still, Baltimore has a history of taking the top player on their board and given that it comes at a need spot, the Ravens would be somewhat foolish to pass on Buckner if given the opportunity to claim him without trading up to do so.
.
