LB. UCLA. Myles Jack. 8. player. 59.
Miami’s biggest need comes at linebacker and that makes this pick difficult. On one hand, none of the linebackers in this class are “safe” enough to warrant a top-10 pick. On the other, there are two players with undisputed top-10 level talent and the safer of those options is former UCLA linebacker Myles Jack.

Notre Dame’s Jaylon Smith was arguably a better prospect before both players suffered injuries during the 2015 college football season, but Jack is closer to returning to the field and, with that, has the more projectable medical timeline. He is a physical freak that dominated offensively at times while with the Bruins, and Jack is a potential sideline to sideline player that Miami desperately needs.

The Dolphins need a lot of things, including help with the pass rush and in the secondary, and that opens up a great number of possibilities. Jack is more talented than any available defensive end or defensive back, though, and Miami would be crazy to pass on him if (and only if) they trust his medical prognosis and are willing to wait it out with a bit if patience.

If not Jack, look for the Dolphins to target someone in the Shaq Lawson or Noah Spence mold as a pass rusher, especially if the top two cornerbacks are gone by this point.
