New York Giants

Odell Beckham Jr. is firmly entrenched among the game’s elite wide receivers, so the Giants don’t have a need at the position in that sense. However, the Giants could use some depth behind Beckham Jr., and Colston may be one of the best fits available for them.

Randle turned in a solid season opposite Beckham Jr. with 797 receiving yards, but most of New York’s other passing production came from tight ends and running backs. Randle may leave in free agency and the team may be forced to part ways with the injured with the injured Victor Cruz, leaving a big hole in the wide receiver depth chart.

If Randle ends up heading elsewhere in free agency, Colston could help replace at least some of the lost production. Colston may not be an ideal No. 2 at this point, but there’s very few options available, and the Giants need someone to take some of the pressure off of Beckham Jr.

By adding a little bit of depth at the wide receiver position this offseason, the Giants could ensure they have a strong passing attack again in 2016. Eli Manning has looked very good in Bob McAdoo’s offense, Beckham Jr. is obviously a game-changer, and fullback/tight end hybrid Will Tye started to emerge as a reliable target late in the year.

The Giants have a good cap situation with over $58 million available, so they could re-sign Randle or make a run at Jones while also bringing in Colston for the needed depth. Colston won’t break the bank, which will allow the Giants to bring in some much-needed talent on the defensive side.
