Minnesota Vikings

A young Vikings team took a big step forward in 2015 by reaching the playoffs and coming very close to knocking off the Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card round. The pieces are in place for Minnesota to make a run in 2016, but it must add some role players around them.

While Minnesota’s offense will continue to revolve around Adrian Peterson, adding a couple of more targets for Teddy Bridgewater should be on the team’s offseason to-do list. The Vikings best receiver moving forward looks to be the speedy Stefon Diggs, who turned in a solid rookie season with 720 yards.

Other than that, the Vikings struggled to get production out of its receivers, with veteran Mike Wallace and Jarius Wright next on the depth chart. Colston could slide in at No. 2 or 3 on that depth chart while providing a nice complement to Diggs.

In particular, the Vikings could use some size, and Colston can provide that at 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds. With the window to win currently opening, Colston could provide some major value on a short, inexpensive deal.

Minnesota currently has around $24 million of cap space, so a Colston addition would be affordable. Without too many key free agents of their own, the Vikings could look to add Jones or Randle while also pursuing Colston for depth.
