High Salary C

Nikola Vucevic-Orlando Magic (8,000): Vooch’s numbers have dipped a bit in his last three games as he has played under 30 minutes against the Knicks, Sixers, and Mavericks.  He only played 24 minutes last night but still managed 31.4 fantasy points even though he sat much of the second half due to the blowout. Vucevic is in a great place to bounce back, though, tonight against the Bulls who have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing centers so far this season. While he’s still pricey at 8K, I expect a big game from Orlando’s big man as he looks to get back to the 40+ fantasy points that he had in four of five games around the All Star break.

Dwight Howard-Houston Rockets (7,600): Howard is in a great matchup against the Pelicans tonight who don’t have Omer Asik and have allowed the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing centers.  Howard is coming off a good game against the Bucks when he posted 30 points and 13 rebounds in 35 minutes on Monday.  He has at least 43 fantasy points in three of his four games and in five of his last eight. Since I expect tonight’s contest in Houston to have plenty of scoring, look for a big game from Howard making him one of the better big-man options to consider tonight.
