High Value PG

D’Angelo Russell-Los Angeles Lakers (5,800): Russell came through for my DraftKings daily picks last night when I had him as a five-star option and he lit up the Nets for 39 points, six rebounds, three assists, and a steal for a massive 55.5 fantasy points. He has stepped up big-time for the Lakers since moving into the starting lineup and has at least 30 fantasy points in each of his last three contests.  Tonight, he’ll take on fellow-rookie Emmanuel Mudiay as the Lakers travel to Denver to face the Nuggets who have allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing PG so far this season.  Look for Russell to keep things rolling tonight with another big game.

Shelvin Mack-Utah Jazz (4,600): Mack continues to be the best value around for a starting PG under 5K. He tied for the team lead with 18 points on Monday in Boston and finished with 26 fantasy points. He has at least 19 fantasy points in four of this five games with his new team, and he seems to be fitting in well to coach Quinn Snyder’s system while dropping Trey Burke from the rotation. He’s a cheap option if you need one at PG, but there’s definitely risk involved as he takes on Kyle Lowry and the Raptors in Toronto.

Mario Chalmers-Memphis Grizzlies (4,300): Memphis has lost Marc Gasol and traded away Jeff Green and Courtney Lee at the deadline which made most people (including me) look to Mike Conley as the Grizz player who needed to step up. Conley has struggled though, and Chalmers has actually been playing well while seeing a slight upgrade in minutes.  Chalmers has at least 24 fantasy points in each of his last two games and four of his last seven.  He scored 15 points for the second straight game on Monday against Denver while adding three assist, two steals, and two rebounds.  Chalmers is risky since his playing time fluctuates from time to time, but he’s stepping up enough to take notice especially in a good matchup tonight against the Kings. ∗∗
