DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-March 2
High Salary SG
James Harden-Houston Rockets (10,400): Harden’s minutes are piling up at an alarming rate, but he has been dialed in since the break and has produced multiple great stat lines when not facing Kawhi Leonard and the Spurs. Harden had 52.5 fantasy points on Monday on 26 points, nine assists, six rebounds, and three steals. It was just the second time in his last seven games he hasn’t had at least 56 fantasy points. He has played at least 40 minutes in six of his last seven games as well which could be a problem further down the road for the Rockets in their hunt for the playoffs. However, he’s in a plum matchup tonight against the Pelicans who allow the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing SG. Harden has faced them three times this year and is averaging 28 points, nine rebounds, 6.3 assists, and a steal. He last faced New Orleans January 25 when he finished with 35 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists while leading the Rockets to a 112-111 win. I expect another close and high-scoring affair tonight, so “The Beard” should be ready to deliver another big stat line. ∗∗∗
Khris Middleton-Milwaukee Bucks (7,500): Speaking of players who log a ton of minutes, Middleton has played at least 40 minutes in five of his last seven games including playing 44 minutes against Harden and the Rockets on Monay when he finished with 51.25 fantasy points on 30 points, five steals, four assists, three rebounds, and a block. Middleton has at least 39 fantasy points in three straight games scoring over 20 points in each contest and mixing in strong production across the board. If you can’t afford Harden, he’s the next-best thing tonight as he and the Bucks host the Pacers. ∗∗∗
Victor Oladipo-Orlando Magic (7,300): Confession-I really liked Victor Oladipo last night against the Mavericks and he totally tanked scoring just six points and totaling 14 fantasy points due to foul trouble and horrible shooting. He looks to bounce back tonight against the Bulls, and as long as he gets his usual playing time I think he’ll be fine. Evan Fournier is doubtful which should leave lots of offense for Oladipo against a Bulls team that has been giving up a ton of points lately. Last night’s burn is cause for pause, but I’m still in on Oladipo tonight. ∗∗
Andrew Wiggins-Minnesota Timberwolves (6,300): Wiggins is also coming off a sub-par effort after scoring just 15 points against Dallas on Sunday. He had scored 20+ points in five of his previous six games and had over 30 fantasy points in each of those contests. After burning his owners for just 20 fantasy points on Sunday, he may have low ownership tonight against the Wizards in a matchup he should be able to put up a strong bounce-back performance and get to at least 30 fantasy points.∗∗∗
Will Barton-Denver Nuggets (6,000): When Danilo Gallinari went down with his ankle injury, the DFS world flocked to Barton on Monday. He responded with just 21 fantasy points on nine points, six rebounds, and four assists but he did play a few extra minutes due to Gallo’s absence. With the Lakers coming in tonight, don’t run away from Barton too early in a matchup I love for him to dominate tonight. Barton is the best scorer on the Nuggets and the Lakers backcourt has shown an inability to stop anyone, so give Barton a long look at 6,000 tonight. ∗∗∗∗∗
