UConn Huskies vs. SMU Mustangs

Despite being under a postseason ban this year, the SMU Mustangs are quite clearly one of the best teams in college basketball and sitting atop the American Athletic Conference standings. Even with no tournament in their future, they’ll look to finish the regular season strong, starting with their matchup with the UConn Huskies at Moody Coliseum on Thursday.

Nic Moore and Ben Moor have been phenomenal for SMU all season and have truly made them into one of the most consistent forces in the country as a team. However, they’ll need to avoid missteps on Thursday against UConn, which will necessitate solid outings from the likes of Jordan Tolbert and Shake Milton. However, UConn has plenty of talent of their own in regards to Shonn Miller, Rodeny Purvis, and Sterling Gibbs. If that trio of players for the Huskies can come out to play in a big way, UConn should have the chance to take down SMU on Thursday.
