High Value PG

Emmanuel Mudiay-Denver Nuggets (5,400): Mudiay was aggressive on offense and finished with 22 points and seven assists against fellow-rookie D’Angelo Russell as he totaled 39.5 fantasy points on Wednesday.  He has at least 21 fantasy points in five of his last six games and eight of his last ten, but his scoring hadn’t been particularly high until Wednesday.  He still has a long way to go offensively, but there is a ton of potential there and he’s in a good matchup tonight against the Nets in Denver.

Marcus Smart-Boston Celtics (4,700): Smart is a little unpredictable in his role coming off the bench for coach Brad Stevens, but he does have a high ceiling when he does have a good game.  On Wednesday, Smart had a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds on his way to 38.75 fantasy points and has been able to produce at least 29 fantasy points in three of his last five games. The problem is he can have “transparent” games like against the Bucks when he had just 7.75 fantasy points last Thursday.  He’s high-risk, high-reward, but I do like his matchup against New York enough to consider him for tonight.

Mario Chalmers-Memphis Grizzlies (4,000): I hate Chalmers matchup tonight against the Jazz, but he’s been playing very well lately and does deserve to be noticed.  He has exactly 15 points in each of his last three games and has at least 24 fantasy points in each of those contests and five of his last eight.  Chalmers has been getting some extra run in the Grizz’s new-look rotation which has been in a state of flux due to trades and injuries.  The Jazz are a tough matchup for him, but he’s still one of the options under 5K who comes into tonight with the most form.

D.J. Augustin-Denver Nuggets (3,900): Augustin came up big for the Nuggets on Wednesday against the Lakers scoring 26 points to go with five assists on his way to 39.5 fantasy points. He has at least 20 fantasy points in four of his seven games with the Nuggets and seems to be fitting in nicely while keeping Jameer Nelson completely out of the rotation. Tonight, the Nuggets take on the Nets which sets up well for Augustin to produce provided he plays over 20 minutes again.

Marcelo Huertas-Los Angeles Lakers (3,000): Huertas has gotten playing time the last few games due to injuries to Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams.  With Kobe questionable tonight along with Clarkson, Huertas may again get minutes.  He played 31 on Wednesday and had nine points, eight assists, a rebound, and a steal on his way to 24.25 fantasy points. He’s a cheap flier tonight, but he does have potential since the minutes should be available to him.
