High Value SF

Mirza Teletovic-Phoenix Suns (5,600): Teletovic continued to be a solid and steady producer on the Suns even though the team continues to be among the worst in the NBA.  He had 23.75 fantasy points last night on 11 points, five rebounds, two steals, and a block.  That’s about the low-point of his production right now given his role as a shooter off the bench.  His high-upside game can be seen from last week when he poured in 30 points against the Nets when he finished with 40.7 fantasy points. He has three games with over 28 fantasy points in his last seven contests, and he’ll continue to get plenty of time in the Suns rotation as they roll into Orlando tonight. ∗∗

Robert Covington-Philadelphia 76ers (5,400): Covington continued his wild ride of inconsistent production with an “up” game against the Hornets on Wednesday finishing with 17 points, nine boards, three assists, two blocks, and a steal for a solid 38.75 fantasy points. He has been up and down all season, but he has gotten at least 30 minutes in each of his lsat four games, and if he keeps seeing that much playing time I expect he’ll be boom more than he is bust the rest of the season. However, Covington’s game and role make him far from a “safe” option tonight as he and the Sixers take on the Heat.

Matt Barnes-Memphis Grizzlies (5,400): The only SF with less consistency than Covington might be Matt Barnes who has had two points or fewer in four of his last eight games and 16 points or more in three of his last five.  He has had over 25 fantasy points in those three contests, but he burned owners with 16.75 and 8.0 fantasy points in his other two games.  He’s highly inconsistent, but he is getting playing time and definitely does have upside on his “on” nights.

Justise Winslow-Miami Heat (4,500): Even with Luol Deng’s recent run of production and the acquisition of Joe Johnson, Winslow has continued to play enough minutes to make him a solid play.  He has at least 20 fantasy points in seven of his last eight games including last night when he played 29 minutes and finished with nine points, seven rebounds, and a pair of assists.  He should get plenty of time tonight in Philadelphia on a back-to-back as he picks up some minutes from Joe Johnson and Dwyane Wade who may be dealing with fatigue.  The Sixers are definitely a matchup he can excel in, and if Winslow gets time on the floor he’ll be a good play tonight at this price.
