High Salary PF

Paul Millsap-Atlanta Hawks (8,000): Millsap could be such a bigger star if he hadn’t spent his career in Utah and Atlanta which are two of the most anonymous places in the NBA.  Millsap’s game is also a little unorthodox although when he’s at his best he produces in a wide variety of fantasy relevant categories. Millsap has at least 47 fantasy points in three of his last five games although his other two have been sub-25 fantasy points. He had 47.25 fantasy points against the Warriors in his last game which was Tuesday finishing with 19 points, seven rebounds, four assists, four blocks, and three steals.  He should be in a good place to produce against the Lakers tonight in the late game, and I think he’s the best PF option on the board if you can afford his salary.

Thaddeus Young-Brooklyn Nets (6,900): Young is coming off a great game of 43.75 fantasy points against the Lakers.  He had 19 points, 15 rebounds, and two assists in that contest and now has at least 36 fantasy points in three of his last four games.  He’ll likely have to stay more active on offense with Joe Johnson’s departure, and I love his matchup tonight against the Nuggets who have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PF.  Young is in a matchup to succeed tonight, and I think he’s almost a lock for a double-double with a pretty high ceiling as well.

Aaron Gordon-Orlando Magic (6,800): Gordon had a bad game on Tuesday along with the rest of the Magic who struggled against Dallas and burned their fantasy owners badly.  He bounced back along with the rest of the team on Wednesday finishing with 13 points and 15 rebounds against the Bulls while amassing 38.25 fantasy points. He has at least 30 fantasy points in nine of his last ten games with last Tuesday’s stinker (20.75 fantasy points) being the only exception.  Gordon has been a good source of fantasy production since his promotion to the starting lineup, and he should be around a double-double tonight in a great matchup against the Suns.

Gorgui Dieng-Minnesota Timberwolves (6,600): Dieng missed some practice earlier this week due to a personal matter but was back with the team for Wednesday’s game against the Wizards.  He had 25 fantasy points in that contest on six points, eight rebounds, and five assists.  He has cooled off from his torrid run before and after the All Star break, but I like his matchup tonight against the Bucks who have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing PF this season.

Jabari Parker-Milwaukee Bucks (6,500): Parker cooled off a little in his lats game two finishing with 25 fantasy points on Wednesday. Parker was due for a bit of a letdown after a monster game on Monday when he had 50.5 fantasy points on 36 points against the Rockets.  He has been playing very well since just before the break with at least 30 fantasy points in six of his last eight games including two games with over 48 fantasy points. He has a high ceiling and has shown he can produce although rolling him out against the size of the Timberwolves could be a little bit of a risk since he’s on the smaller size for a traditional PF.

Zach Randolph-Memphis Grizzlies (6,500): The Grizz have had to rely on Randolph quite a bit lately, but they’ll have to lean on him even more heavily tonight based on their matchup against the bigs of the Jazz.  Randolph has at least 31 fantasy points in four of his last five games and has been a stead contributor even though he hasn’t got off with a monster game since before the break.  He’ll be in a tough matchup against Rudy Gobert and Derrick Favors, but he’ll need to play a ton of minutes since the Grizzlies are so limited when it comes to options with size after losing both Marc Gasol and Brandan Wright to injury.
