FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-March 5
High Value SG
Eric Gordon-New Orleans Pelicans (5,400): Gordon has only been back for three games, but he has quickly stepped into a big role for the Pelicans with 35 fantasy points or more in two of his three games back. He had 23 points, four assists, and five rebounds on Thursday against the Spurs, and 31 points, three rebounds, three steals, and two assists against Minnesota in his first game back. Gordon is in a tough matchup with the Jazz tonight, but I think he’ll again be looked to as a scoring option making him a nice mid-range play with plenty of upside from his 5.4K price tag. ∗∗∗∗
Zach LaVine-Minnesota Timberwolves (5,300): Last night in the Wolves loss to the Bucks, LaVine played 39 minutes, and avoided the criticism coach Sam Mitchell leveled at his starters who he benched for large portions of the game. LaVine hasn’t seen much of the bench lately with at least 39 minutes in three straight contests. He has been productive with at least 20 points in three of those four games and at least 28 fantasy points in each of those outings. He did commit six turnovers last night, but he is getting so much run that he should be able to put up another impressive line tonight in a great matchup for him against the Nets who have bene unable to stop anyone lately. ∗∗∗∗∗
J.J. Redick-Los Angeles Clippers (4,900): Redick has at least 22 fantasy points in five straight games and has scored at least 16 points in each of his last nine. He and the Clippers take on the Hawks tonight and Redick remains a solid play as he continues to score solid points even though his non-scoring numbers aren’t anything to get excited about. ∗∗∗
Danny Green-San Antonio Spurs (4,300): Green is a nice value with upside in the low-4K-range. He has at least 20 fantasy points in four of his last six games and has played over 28 minutes in nine of his last ten. He had a big game against the Kings a week ago Monday posting 33.9 fantasy points on 16 points, seven rebounds, and three steals. Green should be able to produce again tonight since the Kings allow the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing SG and he’ll get lots of time on the floor. ∗∗∗∗
