FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-March 6
High Value PG
D’Angelo Russell-Los Angeles Lakers (5,700): Russel had a horrible game on Friday against Atlanta shooting just 3-16 for seven points and matching his five assists with five turnovers on his way to just 11.9 fantasy points. He had been rolling since taking over the starting job with at least 31 fantasy points in four straight including a monster game against the Nets when he scored 39 points and 49.7 fantasy points. He’ll look to bounce back tonight against the Warriors who have been allowing big games to opposing PG lately, so I like Russell to put up good numbers, since even when he was off he definitely still gets the shots off. With all the injuries in the Lakers backcourt, Russell will get all the time he can handle and all the shots he wants this afternoon against Golden State. ∗∗∗∗
Mario Chalmers-Memphis Grizzlies (5,000): Chalmers has been excellent since the Grizz shook up their roster at the trading deadline and has seen a rise in minutes in each of his last four games. He has at least 23 fantasy points in each of those four games and is coming off a monster game against the Jazz when he totaled 36.7 fantasy points in 30 minutes on 11 points, six rebounds, five assists, and five steals. He is very active and involved when he’s on the floor, and he should get plenty of time tonight against the Suns who have allowed the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG so far this season. He’ll continue to come off the bench, but he’s getting enough minutes behind struggling starter Mike Conley to return solid value at 5K. ∗∗∗
Jerryd Bayless-Milwaukee Bucks (4,100): The Thunder have allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing PG so far this season and the second-most over their last five games. With Michael Carter-Williams dealing with tendinitis, Bayless had been getting minutes since returning from an injury of his own. Bayless had 28.6 fantasy points in his return last Monday and followed that with 22.1 fantasy points against the Pacers on Wednesday but only 10.7 fantasy points against the T-Wolves Friday. He played over 25 minutes in each of those contests, and should get plenty of opportunity in a high-scoring game this afternoon. He probably won’t start, but he does have plenty of upside. ∗∗∗∗
Shaun Livingston-Golden State Warriors (3,900): Livingston started Tuesday in place of an injured Stephen Curry and had six points, six rebounds, and three assists for 21.7 fantasy points against the Hawks. He followed that up with an even more productive game against the Thunder posting 11 points, eight assists, and three steals for 31.4 fantasy points coming off the bench. With Curry limited with an ankle issue and the game not competitive, Livingston should have a good chance to continue his string of nice games making him the best play under 4K.
