High Value SF

Tobias Harris-Detroit Pistons (5,800): Harris had another solid game for the Pistons yesterday totaling 28.1 fantasy points on 18 points, eight rebounds, and an assist.  He has at least 26 fantasy points in six of his last seven games and continues to be a nice option at under 6K since he’s playing so many minutes for Detroit due to injuries to Anthony Tolliver and Stanley Johnson.

Robert Covington-Philadelphia 76ers (5,400): Covington has been a regular on my value SF list usually with a low-star designation due to his hot-and-cold nature of fantasy production. However, he has been heating things up lately and makes a good play tonight against the Heat.  He had 39.5 fantasy points against Miami in 41 minutes on Friday scoring 25 points to go with five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  He has over 34 fantasy points in three of his last five games and has played over 30 minutes in each of his last five. If he keeps getting that much playing time, I think he’s a nice option with good upside at this price point.

Harrison Barnes-Golden State Warriors (4,500): Barnes had one of his better games of the season on Thursday against OKC turning in a balanced like of 14 points, seven boards, and five assists for 30.9 fantasy points. He has 20+ fantasy points in four of his last seven games including each of his last two, and he is in a great matchup against LA since the Lakers allows he second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SF and have been particularly bad lately. Andre Iguodala is officially questionable, but it’s looking like he will probably sit this one out leaving more time for Barnes at SF.

Jakarr Sampson-Denver Nuggets (3,500): If you have to dive all the way to the bottom of the SF pool, it’s worth noting that Sampson is starting for the Nuggets in place of Danilo Gallinari.  He has played over 23 minutes in each of his last three games with Denver, but his fantasy production has been far from overwhelming.  He had 15.5 fantasy points on Friday against Brooklyn, though, and he’s a project the Nuggets seem willing to invest playing time in since they acquired him from the 76ers.
